About the role

The Regulatory Subject Matter Expert works in partnership with regulatory stakeholders to support inquiries from internal and external customers. The role provides technical and regulatory guidance, ensures alignment with current standards and regulations, and translates regulatory requirements into practical and executable processes.

Key responsibilities

- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for regulatory processes and remains up to date with the latest standards and regulations.

- Provides technical and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Operational Service Delivery and Process and Project Management.

- Process improvement (based on data analysis), documentation execution, document control, internal support, understanding and improvement of the Service Portfolio Agreement (SPA), participation in projects, and project leadership.

- Act as a Knowledge leader, providing training, coaching,



and guidance to the wider team.

- Translate regulatory or functional requirements into practical, executable processes Provide clear technical and process direction to delivery teams.

- Act as the owner and guardian of standards (SOPs, WIs, WoW, playbooks).

- Ensure standards are clear, usable, current, and aligned globally/regionally.

- Generate Accurate training content.

- Provide Coaching and technical guidance.

- Create Reliable onboarding and training passports.

- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of standards across regions.

- Act as the technical voice of the process in functional or regional discussions.

- Identify improvement opportunities using: Data, Rework analysis, Audit findings

Qualifications and skills

- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Food Science, or a related field.

- More than five years of relevant regulatory experience.

- Strong knowledge of applicable food and regulatory requirements, including FDA, CFIA, EU, Codex, and customer-specific standards.

- Experience translating complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance and processes.

- Experience in process standardization, documentation management, and continuous improvement.

- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Fluent English required. Additional languages are an advantage.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Optiva, Salesforce, Power BI, and Copilot is desirable.
