Join the IT team at Carl Zeiss Inc. and contribute to our FIT4 transformation programme. Based in Mexico City, you will support multiple deployment projects, helping translate business and IT requirements into functional and technical SAP S/4HANA solutions.
Your Role
Reporting to the IT Hub Lead, you will design solutions for the S2C process domain and support their delivery across project stages. You will bring together SAP expertise, an understanding of global template processes and an analytical approach to help deployment teams implement solutions that meet business needs.
You will champion standardisation, constructively challenge process deviations and ensure designs follow agreed architecture principles. Working with deployment teams and global development factories, you will help maintain alignment between requirements, configuration, development and testing.
From reviewing specifications to supporting migration and hypercare, your contribution will help teams manage the transition to new solutions. This is an individual contributor role with no direct or indirect reports.
Your focus will be on making complex requirements clear, supporting practical decisions and maintaining consistency across interconnected systems and processes. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple deployment projects.
The role of SAP S/4HANA S2C Solution Consultant will involve:
- Designing functional and technical SAP S/4HANA solutions based on business and IT requirements, including integration with connected satellite systems.
- Coordinating development requirements and directing work towards global development factories, keeping solution delivery aligned with agreed designs.
- Providing expertise on SAP best practice architectures and technologies to support deployment teams throughout implementation.
- Assessing proposed process deviations, challenging their necessity and advocating standard solutions wherever appropriate.
- Ensuring solution designs adhere to architecture principles and standards across the projects you support.
- Reviewing configuration and functional specification documents and managing the associated approval process.
- Supporting testing activities, reviewing identified defects and coordinating bug fixing with the relevant teams.
- Supporting cutover,
migration and hypercare activities across the end-to-end S2C process domain.
- Applying knowledge of global template processes and related process domains to support consistent, integrated solutions.
Your Experience
- Extensive experience as a solution consultant or architect in SAP transformation programmes or comparable projects.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA technologies and functionality, including cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of third-party systems, such as AEB and OpenText, and their integration with SAP.
- Extensive knowledge of general template processes within S2C and an understanding of other process domains.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as SAP certifications.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess requirements, evaluate solution options and identify implications for implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain technical considerations clearly and collaborate effectively with business and IT colleagues.
