- Supplier Qualification and Development
- Evaluate and approve new suppliers according to company and customer requirements.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and process audits.
- Support supplier selection activities together with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations.
- Develop supplier improvement plans and monitor execution.
- New Product Launch Management
- Lead supplier quality activities during APQP.
- Review and approve PPAP/PPF submissions.
- Validate process capability studies, MSA, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Production Trial Runs.
- Ensure readiness of suppliers before SOP (Start of Production).
- Supplier Performance Management
- Monitor supplier KPIs including:
- PPM (Parts Per Million)
- Delivery Quality
- Audit Results
- Cost of Poor Quality
- Customer Escapes

- Maintain supplier scorecards and communicate performance results.
- Initiate escalation processes when supplier performance falls below targets.
- Supplier Audits
- Perform:

- Process Audits
- System Audits
- Product Audits

- Evaluate compliance with:





- IATF 16949
- ISO 9001
- Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
- VDA 6.3 (when applicable)

- Follow up audit findings until closure.
- Problem Solving and Corrective Actions
- Lead containment activities for supplier-related quality issues.
- Drive root cause analysis using:

- 8D
- 5 Why
- Ishikawa
- Statistical analysis tools

- Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate supplier recovery plans.
