SUMMARY The
Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for complying with the import/export operation in accordance with Government Trade Laws. This position is responsible for ensuring NIDEC MOEN KDM DRIVES-CT Apodaca facility is in full Compliance. Support the BU gatekeepers with his/her knowledge and to support day-to-day operations and responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Company as it works towards achieving IMMEX, ANNEX 24/30, PROSEC, VAT-IEPS, AEO &
- CTPAT programs status, ensuring ongoing compliance across the business to enable the status to be maintained.
- Ensure compliance for all import/export transactions, validating the proper documents through Annex 24 system &
- Annex 30 bi-monthly declarations.
- Ensure data integrity of Annex 24 system.
- Support about analysis and validation related to imports were classified as “Change of Regime” resulting from the payment of applicable duties.
- Generate reports for KPI’s that demonstrate compliance with established requirements as required by Trade Compliance Supervisor.
- Support the Trade Compliance colleagues with the development of the processes and procedures required to standardize and streamline import and export procedures across the manufacturing facilities.
- Work in conjunction with internal and external Audit teams to make sure import/export operations are in full Compliance.
- Creates and implements internal policies to ensure a companywide compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, customs regulations and trade laws applicable.
- Coordinates and expedites the border crossing procedures and formalities.
- Promote trade compliance culture & training to related areas with customs & import/export. (Finance, HR, purchasing, Legal, operations, materials, supply chain, etc.).
Internal
Use NCJ Trade Compliance Americas 2026.
- Collaborate with general functional areas and local compliance monitoring teams to detail and analyze compliance-related trading controls and data requirements across the organization.
- Lead efforts to implement workflow automation to eliminate manual/repetitive tasks and create more efficient and scalable trade compliance processes.
- Provide guidance and communicate on time any key trends and insights regarding global political environment (Among others, Trump tariffs, Mexico federal government retaliation, IMMEX and maquiladoras business impact, etc.). Manage the classification (HTS Codes) to ensure tariff schedules, duty rates and Free Trade Agreements “FTAs” are applied.
Education &
- Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required: International, or related field.
- Experience: minimum of 3 years of experience in International Trade and Customs.
- Maquiladora industry knowledge.
- Logistics and traffic management.
- Border crossing procedures and formalities.
- IMMEX, PROSEC, 8th Rule, VAT Certification, FTAs, AEO &
- CTPAT knowledge.
