Nextpower is looking for a Structural Engineer to join LATAM Project Engineering Team based in Brazil.
Working directly with key accounts located throughout LATAM to manage day to day issues on utility scale PV projects from the development stage to construction support.
The position will manage all decisions relating to Structural Engineering for Nextpower's projects including but not limited to wind load calculations, steel design and component design, foundation design, and various other structural engineering tasks and decisions to support project quoting and calculation packages.
Further this position will be interfacing with the rest engineering team located in the US, Mexico, Europe, Australia, and India as well as Sales, Project Management, and R&D; teams at Nextpower's offices around the world.Responsibilities:Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculationsAssist in project development phase, review pertinent site information, calculations, and cost estimationPrepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations and sign/seal those if requiredProvide construction support; RFIs and submittalsAssist in development of nextracker products, generate full understanding of nextracker productCoordinate with nextracker's Structural/Civil Engineers in other regions to create and update structural and civil standards,



specifications, templates, and design toolsManage schedule and review structural and civil engineering consultants' worksAssist in development of expanding Nextracker Design Services team.Required Skills/Experiences:BS in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent5 years of structural engineering work experience in the EPC industryProficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, Lpile or equivalent)Thorough knowledge of engineering standards and codes including but not limited to: ABNT NBR, ASCE, AISC, AISISignificant work experience in structural analysis and design, including dead, live, snow, wind, and seismic loads, design of steel and concrete structures, and development of construction documentsProgramming skills in VB and python is a plusPassion for solar/renewables industrySelf-motivated team play er.We are NextpowerSince day one, Nextracker's mission has been to transition the world to affordable, renewable power, by developing the highest-performing and resilient solar tracking technologies and software in the market for our customers.
