ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group is currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a CFD Analyst who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery , a large-scale energy storage solution, with flow and heat-transfer simulation for scrubber, piping, cold-weather, and altitude-related work.

Key Responsibilities Develop CFD models for scrubber vessel concepts, integrated ducting, outlet filtration, piping, fittings, and baffles.
Assess flow rate, pressure drop, flowback risk, thermal impacts, and distribution uniformity.
Support altitude and cold-weather design assessments using available requirements and test results.
Perform design iterations and recommend geometry or component changes.
Document model setup, assumptions, mesh independence, results, risks, and validation needs.
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
5+ years of CFD or thermal-fluids analysis experience.
Hands-on experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
Internal-flow CFD, pressure drop, flow distribution, recirculation, multiphase awareness,
and thermal/heat-transfer analysis.
Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
Mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary-condition definition, convergence assessment, and result verification.
Flow balancing for ducts, baffles, vessels, piping, fittings, scrubber systems, pumps, and heaters.
English level B2–C1 .
Desirable Skills Industry Knowledge:
Experience in energy storage systems (e.g., batteries, iron-air technology).
Familiarity with large-scale mechanical or industrial projects.
Software and Tools:
Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems (e.g., TeamCenter, Windchill).
Innovation and Optimization:
Experience in design optimization (e.g., topology optimization, weight reduction).
Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.
Manufacturing and Materials:
Understanding of advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., additive manufacturing, CNC machining).
Knowledge of material selection for extreme environments (e.g., corrosion resistance, high-temperature materials).
