Responsabilidades
Design, develop, and release assembly tooling and fixtures, including 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
Manage the complete tooling development lifecycle, from concept and RFQ through supplier selection, fabrication, qualification, and final release.
Build, develop, and maintain a strong network of tooling suppliers to support production and NPI requirements.
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through tooling optimization, supplier development, standardization, and material selection.
Establish and maintain tooling design standards, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure tooling complies with safety, ergonomic, quality,
and manufacturing requirements.
Support pilot builds, engineering validation, process qualification, and production ramp-up activities.
Troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement corrective actions to improve reliability, productivity, and product quality.
Develop and maintain tooling performance dashboards and KPIs, including supplier performance, tooling cost, quality, and on-time delivery metrics.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
Drive on-time tooling readiness to support project schedules and achieve production launch targets.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Requisitos
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in tooling, fixture design, manufacturing engineering, or related disciplines.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of GD&T;, mechanical design principles, and manufacturing processes.
Experience working with external suppliers, RFQ processes, and tooling procurement.
Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations, NPI programs, validation builds, and production ramp-up activities.
Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Conversational English communication skills
