Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Spring Boot Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong backend development experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with integral and local stakeholders in both Spanish and English.

The candidate will work closely with architects, QA teams, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Ownership

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Contribute to technical solution design and backend architecture discussions.
- Ensure high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code.

Architecture & Design

- Participate in designing scalable and secure backend systems using Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with system architects to ensure alignment with overall solution architecture.
- Support implementation of microservices and cloud-native solutions.

Code Review & Quality Assurance

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Follow coding standards, secure development practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and production issues.

Project Planning & Execution

- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful and timely delivery.
- Support effort estimation and technical task breakdown.

Collaboration & Communication





- Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and architects.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Continuous Improvement

- Contribute to process improvements and engineering best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Spring ecosystem enhancements.

Database Integration

- Design and integrate solutions with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Work with:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Optimize database queries for performance and scalability.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot Framework.
- Experience working on at least 2 Spring Boot-based enterprise projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Microservices Architecture
- RESTful APIs
- Cloud-based applications
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database integration.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (Mandatory).

Preferred Technical Skills

- Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud
- Hibernate/JPA
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Kafka / RabbitMQ
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube)
- Exposure to cloud platforms:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud
