**Position Overview**
The **Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Manager** owns demand planning, inventory strategy, logistics execution, and Sales & Operations Planning (SO&P;) alignment across the U.S., UK, and EU. This role ensures that demand forecasts, inventory targets, production schedules, and logistics execution are aligned with business priorities, capacity, and financial constraints.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Demand Planning, Inventory Strategy & SO&P;**
- Own weekly and monthly demand planning and forecasting for all product lines across 3PLs (U.S. & Europe) and Amazon FBA.
- Lead supply chain inputs into the **Sales & Operations Planning (SO&P;)** process, aligning demand forecasts with production capacity, inventory targets, lead times, and cost considerations.
- Translate forecasts into an executable supply plan that balances service levels, inventory investment, and cash flow.
- Monitor sell-through, safety stock, out-of-stock risk, and aging inventory; maintain forecasting models and trend analysis.
- Conduct SKU-level analysis to prevent overstock, stockouts, and expirations using FEFO principles.
- Partner with Marketing and Finance to incorporate promotions, product launches, and seasonality into demand and inventory plans.
**Production & Supply Coordination**
- Convert approved SO&P; plans into production schedules, purchase orders, and replenishment timelines.
- Issue and manage POs,
track production runs, and manage lead times with domestic and international manufacturers.
- Coordinate with production partners on scheduling, packaging availability, and lot traceability.
- Ensure FEFO allocation, batch tracking, and compliance documentation across all production runs.
- Proactively identify supply constraints and recommend mitigation plans.
**Logistics Execution & General Compliance**
- Oversee domestic and international logistics across the U.S., UK, and EU, including freight bookings, customs clearance, and 3PL coordination.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, CBP, USDA, EU General Food Law, FSVP, and traceability requirements.
- Manage ISF filings, HTS classifications, commercial invoices, certificates of analysis, and import/export documentation.
- Resolve shipment delays, customs holds, and quality or quantity discrepancies.
**Cost Optimization & Vendor Management**
- Provide cost, capacity, and lead-time visibility to support SO&P; decision-making and tradeoff analysis.
- Negotiate rates and service levels with freight forwarders, warehouses, co-packers, and customs brokers.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce logistics and fulfillment costs while maintaining service levels.
- Maintain vendor performance scorecards and drive continuous improvement.
**Inventory Control & Quality Assurance**
- Track finished goods, raw materials,
and packaging inventory at co-packers and warehouses to prevent production or fulfillment disruptions.
- Ensure manufacturing partners meet quality and food safety standards and provide required documentation (COAs, batch records, lot traceability).
- Communicate quality issues immediately and partner on corrective action plans.
**Systems, Process & Reporting**
- Improve and maintain SOPs for forecasting, SO&P; execution, inventory reconciliation, compliance, and logistics coordination.
- Develop tools and automation to improve forecast accuracy, inventory visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Generate weekly and monthly reporting on inventory health, forecast accuracy, landed costs, service levels, and supply chain KPIs.
- Support Customer Support with logistics-related escalations, including delays, tracking issues, and customs inquiries.
**Qualifications**
- 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, or S&OP;—preferably within e-commerce, food, or CPG.
- Proven experience translating forecasts into executable supply and inventory plans.
- Strong knowledge of cross-border logistics and food compliance, including INCOTERMS, ISF, HTS classification, FDA Prior Notice, FSVP, and EU regulations.
- Experience working with Shopify, Amazon FBA, ShipStation, and 3PL partners.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote environment.
