**Job Summary**:
**What a typical day looks like**:
Take ownership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.- Define, develop, and deploy automation into Flex sites. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.-
- Prepare RFQ’s and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to obtain the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing.- Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them. Able to quickly cost evaluate and work up the financial justification for automating- Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.- Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.- Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.- Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Evaluate and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.- Implement cost effective automation solution.- Support new product development automation needs,
facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline.- Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation. Conduct design-for-automation examination and provide detailed recommendations.- Participate in design reviews and provide status reports as per established schedule.- Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment
**The experience**we’re**looking to add to our team**Bachelor’s Degree is required and related experience/- Fluent English.- Experience in automation and manufacturing engineering, including comprehensive project management and supervision.- Experience in automated plants.- Experience with robots, PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, and sensors.- Experience in high-volume manufacturing companies.- Desirable: experience in the electronics industry.- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical systems integration.- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 tools and technologies.- Dynamic and proactive individual.- Ability to work under pressure.- Advanced functional, technical, people, and process management skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients.- Demonstrates detailed experience in highly complex functional/technical areas or broad knowledge across multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across different sites.
