The Document Control Specialist II is responsible for maintaining the integrity of product data.
Supports creating and updating processes, documentation of existing products and life cycle status of products and components.
They will maintain correspondences, review and draft documents, and compile product documentation packages.The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and collaborative, with a strong interest in integral mobility, cross-border employment matters, and supporting a positive employee experience throughout the assignment life cycle.Job DescriptionSPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Update engineering documentation as directed by engineers.Create and maintain product and component lifecycles in OracleCompile product documentation packages, ensuring all documentation is presentMaintain critical correspondence (electronic and hard copies when necessary)Review draft documents for nonconforming information.
Correct as necessary to ensure the documents remain clean and compliantCreate and manage approval workflow for final procedures, documents, records, and drawingsWork with team members to ensure proper maintenance and retention of all qualifying documents and informationEnsure that document retention and review systems are compliant with internal and external standardsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Education:An associate's degree or higher in a relevant field from a Community College or an accredited Technical InstituteBachelor's Degree in a related fieldQualifications:Experience with Microsoft Office 365 apps (SharePoint, etc.)Experience with Oracle ERP, SmartsheetProficiency in Microsoft office suitPrint and distribute documents as neededScan and upload documents according to company procedureCreate templates for use by team membersCreate and maintain document records structureCollect and register all technical documents such as drawings, BoM, Test procedures, etc.Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, drawings, layouts,
and other related technical specifications.Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environmentInnovative, Open-minded, collaborative, and a team-oriented attitudeExperience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to succeed in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple people and managing multiple and diverse tasks/projectsExcellent analytical and organizational skillsExperience:3 or more years of experience as a Technical Document Specialist, Technical Writer or similar role5+ years of applicable experience as a Technical Document Specialist, Technical Writer or similar roleLanguages:WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
