We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing organization operating in the real estate and senior living industries.The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, general ledger account reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
This position will also support monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes.This is a challenging, multifaceted opportunity within a growing organization where initiative and strong performance are valued.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for assets, liabilities, equity accounts, and payrollPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedulesPrepare variance analysis reports and provide commentary on vigente versus budget variancesPerform reconciliations between two or more systems and investigate discrepanciesMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentationAssist with fixed asset accounting and maintenanceSupport bank reconciliation processesPerform other accounting-related duties and special projects as requestedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experiencePrevious experience in the senior living industry is preferredExperience with Sage Intacct is a plusStrong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong understanding of general ledger accounting,
