We are seeking a high-performing, detail-driven
Senior CET Designer
to join our dynamic team supporting a top-tier U.S. commercial furniture dealership representing premier industry brands (such as Haworth, Teknion, and MillerKnoll/Kimball).
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process—transforming complex client requirements into functional, visually compelling workspace solutions using CET Commercial Interiors.
You will act as a pivotal link between design, sales, and technical execution, delivering fast-turnaround, high-precision drawings, renderings, and specification packages.
If you excel in space planning, spec accuracy, and visual storytelling within a fast-paced dealership environment, this role offers an exceptional platform to showcase your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Design & Rendering:
Lead space planning, furniture layout design, and photorealistic rendering creation using CET Commercial Interiors (Configura) and AutoCAD.
Specification & Order Readiness:
Generate accurate product specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and line-item pricing (using CET extensions and Spec/CAP) to ensure seamless transition to order entry and installation.
Technical & Architectural Coordination:
Review complex architectural plans, verify field measurements/inventories, conduct code/ADA compliance analysis, and account for site conditions (MEP, architectural obstacles).
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner directly with account managers, sales representatives, A&D; firms, and general contractors to present design options, integrate feedback, and align with client budgets and timelines.
Quality Assurance:
Execute rigorous quality checks on all project deliverables (drawings, specs, finishes, hardware integration) prior to client presentation and order placement.
Material & Finish Selection:
Curate finish palettes, fabric schemes,
and product applications aligned with modern workplace trends, ergonomics, and sustainability standards (LEED, WELL).
Technical Support & Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive installation packages, power/data location plans, and final as-built drawings.
Industry Leadership & Tool Mastery:
Stay current on top-tier dealership product lines, CET extensions, and evolving workspace tech integration to mentor junior team members and optimize workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
Experience:
4+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design or commercial furniture dealership workflows.
Core Software Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in
CET Commercial Interiors (Configura)
is required.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Spec/CAP, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft 365.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of systems furniture, demountable walls, ancillary furniture lines, electrical/data distribution, and building codes (ADA, local fire codes, LEED, WELL standards).
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and spoken English, with proven confidence leading client presentations and technical design reviews in a U.S. business environment.
Project Management:
Outstanding organization and time-management skills; proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently under deadline pressure.
Remote Work Setup:
Reliable, dedicated home office setup featuring a high-performance PC/laptop capable of running heavy CET graphics rendering, paired with a high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps upload/download).
