We are looking for an experienced
Mainframe Test Engineer
to join our team and support testing, release validation, and deployment activities for enterprise applications in the banking and financial services industry.
The adecuado candidate will have strong experience with
Mainframe Testing, Endevor, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM
, as well as a solid understanding of Mainframe release and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Validate applications deployed through
Endevor-controlled environments
.
Perform
functional, regression, batch, and end-to-end testing
of Mainframe applications.
Support
release validation and deployment activities
across Mainframe environments.
Review
program promotions, package movements, and implementation activities
.
Perform
impact analysis
to identify potential risks and dependencies related to application changes.
Execute test cases and analyze results to ensure application quality and stability.
Collaborate closely with
development, QA, release management, and other cross-functional teams
.
Support
change management and release management processes
.
Identify, document,



and communicate defects and potential risks throughout the testing lifecycle.
Ensure releases meet defined quality and business requirements before implementation.
Required Qualifications
5–12 years of experience
in Mainframe testing or QA.
Strong hands-on experience with:
COBOL
JCL
DB2
VSAM
Experience with
Mainframe release and deployment processes
.
Experience with
batch testing and regression testing
.
Strong understanding of
impact analysis and end-to-end testing
.
Experience working with
change and release management processes
.
Experience in the
Mexico banking or financial services industry
is highly preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with development and release management teams.
Preferred Profile
Experience supporting
enterprise-scale banking applications
.
Familiarity with complex Mainframe environments and controlled release processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple testing activities in a fast-paced environment.
