Rockwood Glass Group is looking for a highly experienced Sales Manager based in Mexico to join our international team and represent our bespoke ceramic bottle division within the Mexican tequila and mezcal industry.

This is a highly specialized business development role. Extensive professional experience within the Mexican tequila industry, an established network of senior industry contacts, and current residence in Mexico are essential requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Rockwood is a French-owned bottle manufacturer based in China, specializing in bespoke glass and ceramic bottles for the international spirits industry.

Rockwood is a leading supplier of bespoke ceramic bottles for tequila and spirits to the Mexican market. We work with producers to create highly distinctive ceramic packaging, from technically complex bottle shapes and sculptural relief to custom colours, textures and decoration.

As demand for premium and highly differentiated spirits packaging continues to develop, we are expanding our commercial presence in Mexico and looking for someone who already knows this industry from the inside.

The initial and primary focus of this position will be tequila and mezcal, with the opportunity to develop ceramic packaging projects across other premium spirits categories.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are specifically looking for someone who:

- Is currently based in Mexico.
- Has substantial professional experience within the Mexican tequila industry.
- Has an extensive, established network within the tequila and mezcal production sectors.
- Knows the major tequila and mezcal distilleries, producers and groups operating in Mexico.
- Has direct professional relationships with owners, senior managers and key decision-makers at leading tequila producers and groups.
- Understands how the Mexican tequila industry operates, including its principal producers, brands and production groups.
- Has experience selling or developing business within spirits, packaging,



bottles or a closely related B2B sector.
- Can use an existing network to open doors and introduce Rockwood directly to relevant decision-makers.
- Is comfortable independently developing new business and managing senior client relationships.
- Speaks Spanish fluently and has a professional working level of English.
- Is willing and able to travel throughout Mexico to meet clients.

Candidates without substantial tequila-industry experience and an established professional network within Mexico will not be considered for this position.

YOUR ROLE

You will be responsible for representing and developing Rockwood's ceramic bottle business in Mexico, working closely with our international sales, design, technical and production teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Introducing Rockwood to tequila and mezcal producers through your existing professional network.
- Building relationships with owners, senior management, procurement, packaging, marketing and new-product-development decision-makers.
- Identifying new bottle projects and opportunities within existing and emerging tequila and mezcal brands.
- Presenting Rockwood's bespoke ceramic design and manufacturing capabilities.
- Working with clients from the initial commercial discussion and bottle concept through quotation, development, sampling and production.
- Identifying opportunities for ceramic bottles for premium expressions, special editions, limited releases, collector's editions and other distinctive packaging projects.
- Developing opportunities for bespoke ceramic packaging within other premium spirits categories.




- Meeting clients throughout Mexico and representing Rockwood at relevant industry events when appropriate.
- Developing long-term commercial relationships and repeat business.

Rockwood manages the complete development process, from initial concept and technical engineering through mould development, sampling and mass production.

COMPENSATION & TRAVEL

This is a commission-based sales position.

Rockwood will cover approved travel expenses for client meetings and relevant business development activities.

For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to represent an established international ceramic bottle manufacturer in a market they already know extremely well, while developing business through relationships they have built throughout their career.
