Senior Operational Procurement Specialist
We are looking for a Senior Operational Procurement Specialist to manage and support the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process while contributing to global procurement programs, data-driven initiatives, and continuous improvement. This role combines advanced operational procurement expertise with analytics, technology, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities to support a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, from purchase requisitions and purchase order creation through invoice processing and payment follow-up.
- Create, review, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) and requisitions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established procedures.
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues involving purchase orders, invoices, payments, discrepancies, and exceptions.
- Monitor procurement transactions, operational metrics, and service levels to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Analyze procurement data and develop actionable insights to support business decisions and process optimization.
- Leverage Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel to develop dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data-driven analyses.
- Manage or support commercial corporate card programs and global travel/TMC systems, including platforms such as Concur and ERP solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency through Power Automate, APIs, and AI-powered productivity tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to drive alignment, resolve complex operational challenges, and ensure effective execution across global regions.
- Lead and facilitate international workshops, meetings, and working sessions,
translating complex information into clear recommendations and actionable outcomes.
- Develop executive-level communications and business narratives to support leadership decision-making and organizational alignment.
- Support change management and user adoption initiatives, including the definition, tracking, and analysis of behavioral and operational KPIs.
- Drive sustainable process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the overall stakeholder experience.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable business requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted partner for procurement operations, providing guidance and support on complex P2P-related matters.
Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in program management, procurement operations, category management/strategy, or a related field, with demonstrated experience managing complex global programs and operational processes.
- Procurement & P2P Expertise: Strong knowledge of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay cycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, payments, supplier management, and operational controls.
- Corporate Programs & Travel Systems: Direct experience managing or supporting commercial corporate card programs and global travel/TMC systems, including platforms such as Concur and ERP systems.
- Data & Analytics: Advanced experience with BI and data analytics, including Power BI and/or Tableau, as well as advanced Excel capabilities. Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and business recommendations.
- Automation & Technology: Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, APIs, or similar technologies,
as well as familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools.
- English Proficiency: Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2), with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead international workshops and collaborate effectively across global regions.
- Strategic Communication: Proven track record of developing executive narratives, facilitating workshops, presenting complex information clearly, and building consensus across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, internal partners, suppliers, and global teams.
- Change Management: Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale user adoption, measure behavioral KPIs, and embed sustainable process improvements across organizations.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to address complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Organization & Execution: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, efficiency, and service improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, or multinational organization.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Concur, or other ERP/procurement platforms.
- Experience developing and presenting Power BI/Tableau dashboards and executive-level reports.
- Knowledge of procurement governance, internal controls, compliance, and operational performance management.
- Experience leading or supporting general transformation, automation, or change management initiatives.
