Objective of the position

Lead the General Accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, NIF, tax regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements while supporting business decision-making and corporate finance consolidation.

Typical Tasks

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, NIF, SOX requirements, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the main contact for corporate finance consolidation and cross-functional departments.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, making key operational and financial decisions, setting priorities,



assigning responsibilities, and ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) or related.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mexican Accounting Standards (NIF), and local tax regulations.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and accounting controls.
- Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Advanced SAP FI knowledge; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
