Why We Need You:
We’re on the hunt for a native Mexican Spanish speaker to join our localization crew. You’ll be the human voice that makes our AI-powered imaging and design apps feel effortlessly natural in Mexico — because even the smartest AI needs a real person to catch the subtle stuff and bring the right vibe. If you’re the kind of person who notices a misplaced comma from across the room and gets a kick out of making tech feel truly local, let’s talk.
What You’ll Do:
- UI Copy Refinement: Proofread and refine AI-translated copy across buttons, dialogs, notifications, settings, and other UI elements to nail accuracy, flow, consistency, and a tone that feels natural for the Mexican market .
- In-App Linguistic QA: Run in-app linguistic QA — verify translations display correctly, catch truncation, layout quirks, context slips, and anything that might read as culturally off or awkward in Mexican Spanish .
- Cultural Alignment: Review in-app copy to make sure it aligns with local language habits, user expectations, and cultural norms in Mexico , flagging content that feels unnatural or insensitive.
- Marketing Localization: Translate, review, and localize marketing content like promos, App Store listings, push notifications, in-app campaigns, and social media posts so they resonate with Mexican users .
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Team up with product, design, and engineering to spot localization issues early and push overall quality higher.
Who You Are:
- Spanish (Mexico) Proficiency: Full professional proficiency in Spanish as used in Mexico (es-MX) , with an excellent command of grammar, idiomatic expressions, tone, and cultural nuances relevant to Mexican users.
- Hands-On Experience: 1+ year of hands-on localization, UI translation, or linguistic QA experience for apps, software, or websites.
- Sharp Detail Orientation: Sharp eye for translation flubs, term inconsistencies, UI truncation, formatting hiccups, and cultural mismatches — you genuinely care about polish and getting every detail right.
- UI/UX Awareness: Comfortable with UI/UX fundamentals like character limits, responsive layouts, and how translated text behaves inside different interface components.
- Transcreation Skills: Strong copywriting and transcreation skills — you can adapt marketing copy while keeping the brand’s voice, tone, and intent intact.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with CAT tools and AI-assisted translation workflows.
- Background or strong interest in AI, imaging, or photo editing apps.
