We are currently seeking a Materials Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Materials organization, including Purchasing, Materials Planning, and Production Planning functions, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials to support customer demand and operational objectives.

The Materials Manager will develop and execute supply chain strategies focused on material availability, inventory optimization, production continuity, cost control, and customer satisfaction. This position will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Integral Supply Chain teams to drive operational excellence and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

- Lead and develop the Purchasing, Materials Planning, and Production Planning teams.
- Define and execute materials management strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, inventory management, and supplier performance.
- Establish department goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.

Materials Planning & Production Planning

- Ensure material availability to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Oversee MRP planning processes and capacity planning activities.
- Lead forecasting reviews and demand planning processes.
- Balance customer demand, production capacity, and inventory targets.
- Drive improvements in production scheduling effectiveness and planning accuracy.

Purchasing & Supplier Management

- Oversee purchasing activities to ensure continuity of supply.




- Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.
- Support supplier development initiatives and strategic sourcing activities.

Inventory Optimization

- Establish inventory management strategies to improve working capital performance.
- Monitor inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, and material availability metrics.
- Ensure planning parameters and replenishment strategies are aligned with demand requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Customer Service teams to establish priorities and execute business objectives.
- Support new product launches, product transfers, and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) processes.
- Communicate risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans to leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing materials, purchasing, or planning teams.

- Experience with ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, Oracle, or QAD.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification preferred.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence organizational decisions.
