We are hiring Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Reporting to QA Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, hygiene, environmental and food safety standards across plant operations.
- Implement, maintain and improve the Quality Management System, including ISO, HACCP, GMP and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to quality, safety and occupational health.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including follow-up of findings, non-conformities and CAPA.




- Identify safety risks within the plant and ensure the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and follow up on food safety, occupational safety and environmental programs.
- Support certifications and standards including Kosher, FSSC 22000 and SMETA.
- Promote a culture of safety, prevention and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate procedures, records and documentation related to management systems.
- Work closely with plant teams and unionized employees to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety & Hygiene, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/EHS, preferably in the food color or food ingredient industry.
- English B1 level preferred.
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, Kosher and SMETA.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and applicable legal requirements.
- Experience with internal/external audits, CAPA and risk assessment.
- Experience working with unionized employees and plant personnel.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organized, proactive and results-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
