SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEERING (QE) - ENGINEER

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re hiring a Senior Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to raise the quality bar through strong test strategy, pragmatic automation, and hands-on delivery in a complex, legacy-heavy environment that is actively modernizing.

This role combines direct ownership of critical quality surfaces with enablement of product engineering teams. While product engineers are expected to own quality within their domains, QE continues to own and maintain certain cross-cutting end-to-end (E2E) and regression workflows that span multiple product areas or represent systemic risk.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Manual QA to ensure quality is validated at the right layers, by the right owners, using good judgment rather than rigid rules.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Quality Strategy & Judgment
- Apply risk-based thinking to determine what should be tested, how, and where (unit, integration, domain-level E2E, or QE-owned cross-team E2E).




- Help define and evolve quality standards and guardrails that scale across teams without becoming burdensome.
- Identify systemic quality risks and recommend pragmatic improvements in test strategy, architecture, and release practices.

Test Automation & Shared Ownership
- Build and maintain reliable automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers. Own and maintain QE-managed E2E and regression suites that span multiple product surfaces or represent shared risk.
- Enable product engineers to write and maintain domain-level tests by providing patterns, helpers, examples, and guidance.
- Continuously improve test stability, signal quality, and execution speed.

Enablement & Developer Experience
- Reduce friction for engineers writing tests by improving test utilities, data setup, environment reliability, and local developer workflows.
- Partner with engineering teams to help them adopt shared testing frameworks and best practices.
