Job Summary

The Senior Buyer is responsible for the procurement and purchasing of direct materials used in the manufacturing of wind turbine blades. This role also owns the development, tracking, and reporting of key departmental metrics, ensuring that materials planning and purchasing processes support uninterrupted production while maintaining compliance with company quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Materials Planning
- Run and analyze the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) report to drive direct material purchasing decisions.
- Maintain and update the Oracle system to ensure accurate materials planning and purchasing.
- Track and follow up on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) open order releases.
- Monitor and manage Blanket Purchase Orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Track and process modifications within the Oracle Jobs system.

Metrics & Reporting
- Develop, review, and report departmental purchasing metrics.
- Ensure compliance with metric targets established by the department.





Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Investigate and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Partner with plant departments to identify improvement opportunities and resolve issues affecting production.
- Follow up on customer approvals related to purchased materials.
- Track and support new product validation processes.

Quality, Environmental & Safety Compliance
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Management System processes (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Apply risk-based thinking and a customer-focused approach to strengthen Management System processes.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Equivalent, demonstrable professional experience will also be considered.
