A leading U.S.-based manufacturer of custom seating and furniture solutions for commercial and office environments is seeking an EHS Superintendent to join its growing team in Tijuana.

EHS Superintendent leads Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) execution and continuous improvement across assigned Mexico manufacturing, warehouse, and support locations. Owns day-to-day EHS management, regulatory compliance, incident response, risk reduction, and implementation of corporate EHS standards. Partners directly with Operations and Site Leadership to build operational ownership of safety, strengthen preventive controls, develop EHS capability, and ensure significant risks are identified, communicated, and addressed promptly. The role translates corporate EHS strategy into practical site-level execution and develops a culture in which leaders and employees proactively manage EHS risk as part of normal operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead implementation and sustained execution of corporate EHS policies, standards, procedures, and critical-risk programs across assigned Mexico sites.




- Ensure compliance with applicable Mexican safety, health, environmental, Civil Protection, and company requirements, including permits, licenses, environmental reporting, hazardous-waste obligations, chemical management, and required records.
- Maintain effective site-level programs for machine guarding, LOTO, powered industrial trucks, hazardous chemicals, ergonomics, emergency response, PPE, contractor safety, pedestrian safety, cutting devices / safe tool handling, and storage-rack safety.
- Lead site incident response and investigation, including immediate containment, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, read-across implementation, and effectiveness verification; provide immediate escalation for serious injuries, high-potential events, significant environmental events, or other material risks.
