Purpose of the Position To strengthen and scale a circular economy initiative in Mexico by mobilizing business participation, building strategic partnerships and securing the resources needed to expand its reach and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities Strategy and initiative development Lead the initiative’s strategic direction and overall performance, setting clear priorities for growth and impact.

Adapt international experience and established approaches to the Mexican context rather than applying a fixed model.

Assess what is working, identify new opportunities and evolve the initiative’s approach as it grows.

Business engagement and value proposition Strengthen relationships with participating companies and attract new organizations through a compelling, differentiated value proposition.

Engage senior decision-makers and demonstrate how more effective resource use can create operational, commercial and environmental value.

Understand each organization’s priorities and co-design relevant approaches that move participation from initial commitment to practical action.

Stakeholder and ecosystem leadership Build trusted relationships with businesses, institutions, funders, technical partners and other relevant stakeholders.

Navigate different interests and institutional dynamics with maturity and political sensitivity.

Create alignment around shared objectives while strengthening the initiative’s credibility and positioning.

Evidence, measurement and impact Encourage participating organizations to use measurement and evidence to identify opportunities for improvement.

Work with specialists and partners to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights and actions.

Ensure that progress and tangible examples of impact can be demonstrated clearly to companies and other stakeholders.

Governance and long-term sustainability Lead the initiative’s governance and reporting processes.

Translate strategic recommendations into effective implementation.

Strengthen the participation, partnerships and resources required to sustain and scale the initiative over time.

Team leadership and collaboration Lead and develop a small local team,



creating clarity around priorities, accountability and performance.

Coordinate effectively with technical specialists, consultants, partners and international colleagues.

Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and lessons between Mexico and international teams.

Representation and influence Represent the initiative with senior business leaders, institutional partners and other relevant actors.

Participate in forums and conversations that strengthen its visibility and encourage participation.

Communicate its value clearly to audiences with different priorities and motivations.

Requirements and competences to work with us Education Backgrounds may include Business, Economics, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, International Development or related disciplines. Additional education in strategy, innovation or business development may be valuable.
Experience Senior experience in strategy, business development, consulting, strategic partnerships or initiative leadership.

Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with commercial execution.

Experience engaging senior decision-makers and influencing stakeholders without necessarily having direct authority over them.

Experience developing, adapting or scaling programs, solutions or business propositions.

Experience working across organizations with different interests and leading small teams.

Exposure to sustainability or circular economy is valuable, but deep technical specialization is not required.

Knowledge and skills Strong strategic and commercial thinking.
