About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, bilingual Billing Specialist to manage our dental billing processes and insurance claims. This role is central to keeping patient accounts accurate and our billing operations running smoothly in a fast-paced clinic environment. Key Responsibilities

- Manage billing processes and insurance claims from start to finish
- Accurately process, submit, and coordinate primary and secondary dental insurance claims
- Create and review claims before submission
- Submit claims through the appropriate channels and track their status
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, denials, and rejections
- Submit claim corrections and adjustments promptly
- Navigate state-specific Medicaid billing guidelines and write-off protocols
- Follow up on patient accounts and outstanding payments
- Assist with monthly payment questions, updates, and changes
- Create billing and insurance reports
- Gather insurance information from new and existing patients
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations




- Assist with other billing-related responsibilities as needed

Key Qualifications

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Proficient in Open Dental software preferably not required
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and general computer/software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collection and follow-up skills
- Critical thinking skills for handling complex claim situations
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask at a high level
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strict attention to detail and data integrity across patient accounts
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and strong team player mindset
- Professionalism in a fast-paced environment
