RESPONSABILITIES:
- Analyze and improve assigned products, equipment, manufacturing processes, methods, or designs, including activities to reduce manufacturing cost and cost of quality.
- Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, materials, manufacturing methods, and facility layout for new or revised products and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation for products, processes, equipment, bills of material (BOMs), routings, and work order release in accordance with applicable IATF requirements.
- Support new projects, product development, prototypes, and samples by coordinating technical requirements and shop-floor production with Engineering, Production, and other involved functions.
- Review and follow up on new RFQs received by email, monitor due dates, update the RFQ database, and support tracking of the OTD-RFQ metric.
- Follow up on sample status and requirements by email,
maintain the sample database, prepare the current sample status presentation, and support the Samples KPI.
- Coordinate sample production activities, including BOM and routing creation for work order release, Sales Order shipping instruction updates, cost estimation, and process review with Production.
- Review and update part-number information in ST10 for orders in the Gate to help ensure information is correct for processing.
- Support production and new-product development through review, root cause analysis, corrective action, discrepancy handling, defect prevention, process capability studies, design of experiments, and analysis of results against requirements.
- Update the plant layout to reflect new processes and changes to existing processes, considering the distribution of areas and resources.
- Coordinate and follow up on assigned intern activities related to OEE, 5S, and MOC; review OEE and 5S status; and support general coordination activities.
- Participate in NPI meetings and follow up on assigned project and validation activities.
- Prepare efficiency reports by part number using setup and runtime information, update packaging BOM`s, and support the OEE and NPI-on-time KPIs.
- Prepare the monthly individual Highlight and collect the monthly Highlights from the Engineering Team.
- Provide 5S training to auditors and new Qnity direct-labor employees,
and comply with applicable quality, safety, health, and environmental systems and standards.
REQUIREMENTS / WORK SKILLS
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, CAD.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and ability to maintain technical databases, trackers, reports, and presentations.
- Strong practical technical ability to support products, tooling, equipment, samples, validations, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to organize and follow up multiple activities, priorities, and due dates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills for technical follow-up and coordination with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Operations, and other involved functions.
- Ability to create and update BOMs, routings, work-order release information, cost estimates, shipping instructions, plant layouts, and process documentation as assigned.
- Ability to support analysis using OEE, setup and runtime, process capability, design of experiments, and KPI tracking information.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, ST10, Gate order processing, RFQ tracking, sample tracking, NPI activities, 5S, and MOC.
