Summary: VES is looking for a Buyer to join our team in our Matamoros, Tamaulipas location. This person will work to plans and carries out policies relates to all phases of the supply Chain activity by performing the following duties personally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Coordinate supplier information about products or services, with price availability and delivery schedule.
- Evaluate according to the knowledge of the market price.
- Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
- Maintain records of purchases such as purchased items or services, costs, delivery,



product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Negotiate defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, sellers, and others to determine the source of problems and take corrective action.
- Speed up the delivery of goods to users.
- Purchase critical products from suppliers listed on the approved supplier list only.
- Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment: Comply with the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment System, apply to its activities the Policy of Varel International de México to achieve effectiveness and continuous improvement, in addition to actively participating in training activities and applying the concepts communicated

Education and/or Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Bilingual - Spanish and English (fluent)
- SAP
