Role Description The Contract Technical Writer will create clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical content focused on web hosting products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and updating technical documentation, how-to guides, and manuals that explain hosting features, configurations, and best practices. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to gather technical information, translating complex concepts into accessible language, and maintaining consistent documentation standards across the platform.

This is a part-time remote role, offering flexibility while requiring reliable availability for meetings, reviews, and content updates.

Qualifications





- Demonstrated skills in Technical Writing and Technical Communication to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience creating and maintaining Technical Documentation and general Documentation for digital products or services.
- Ability to develop structured Manuals and step-by-step guides for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Strong analytical and research skills to understand hosting technologies, control panels, and website deployment processes.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with attention to detail, clarity, and consistency.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting, managing deadlines, and handling multiple assignments concurrently.
- Familiarity with web hosting, domains, DNS, and related technical concepts is highly beneficial.
- Experience using documentation tools (such as Markdown, Google Docs, or wiki platforms) and basic SEO principles is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
