Position Overview

Trio’s Supply Advisory team partners with our clients by working with internal decision-makers to procure natural gas and electricity while managing market risk. As an Energy Supply Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting client relationships, developing and executing energy strategies, provide market intelligence and ensuring seamless service delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of energy markets, procurement strategies, and risk management, along with strong leadership and analytical skills.

The role is focused on Mexico and LATAM markets.

Job Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for client service delivery, with the ability to lead large, complex clients.
- Monitor and analyze electricity and natural gas markets across Mexico and LATAM with timely insights on factors influencing energy prices.
- Monitor contractual performance and support supplier relationship management.
- Monitor regulatory changes and situations that could impact energy prices.
- Foster strong, trust-based relationships with clients by ensuring high levels of satisfaction and seamless collaboration with internal service teams.
- Develop and implement tailored energy strategies that align with client goals, policies, and risk tolerance.
- Lead market updates, delivering clear, data-driven insights to help clients make informed decisions.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with energy suppliers, assessing their strengths, weaknesses, and market competitiveness.




- Develop energy budgets forecasting prices impacts.
- Oversee the procurement of natural gas and electricity for individual and aggregated sites, ensuring optimal market timing and supplier selection.
- Conduct in-depth, unbiased comparative analyses to recommend the best energy supply arrangements based on market conditions, supplier offerings, contract terms, and pricing structures, taking the analysis done to support those strategies
- Negotiate contracts and execute energy transactions in strict compliance with client-specific procurement policies and requirements.
- Analyze energy data and translate it into actionable insights through meaningful reporting and recommendations.
- Provide expert guidance, education, and support to clients and prospects on energy market dynamics, procurement strategies, and risk management.
- Ensure full compliance with contractual Statements of Work (SOW) and deliverables.

Desired Background:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or another associated field
- 3+ years of energy market experience at any of the following: end-user organization in an energy-procurement role, energy utility, energy supplier or energy consulting firm
- Experience in both Power and Natural Gas markets
- Familiarity with Mexico's electricity and natural gas sectors, including market participants and regulatory agencies.
- Experience supporting multinational corporate energy portfolios.
- Other LATAM markets knowledge

Required Skills:

- Comprehensive understanding of Mexico energy market and corporate energy procurement strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft software, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience analyzing market data and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Must be highly organized and able to advise multiple clients and manage respective internal teams
- Must possess strong analytical skills to understand energy market fundamentals and translate data into strategies and recommendations for clients
- Must be a strong communicator, both in writing and presenting, as the role involves significant client interaction
