Global Category Manager

This position manages and leads a team of procurement professionals responsible for supporting Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities and category management within a Global Business Services (GBS) environment.

The P2P Category Manager is responsible for ensuring effective execution and management of procurement processes across assigned categories, supporting business requirements, supplier relationships, operational performance, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

This role provides leadership and direction to the team, ensuring service delivery, operational excellence, and adherence to established procurement policies, procedures, and controls.

Management responsibilities include team development, performance management, and disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, in accordance with Company policies and applicable regulations.

Essential Functions

- Lead, manage, and develop a team of procurement professionals supporting Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities within a Global Business Services environment.
- Manage assigned procurement categories, ensuring effective execution of purchasing activities and alignment with business requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end P2P process, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier management, invoice resolution, and issue escalation.
- Monitor category performance, spend, supplier performance, service levels, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and business teams to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely and effective support.
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with established processes and service expectations.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Company policies, procedures,



internal controls, and applicable requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve P2P processes, eliminate inefficiencies, standardize procedures, and enhance the overall internal customer experience.
- Support the implementation and adoption of procurement systems, tools, and process improvements.
- Analyze procurement and operational data to identify trends, risks, process gaps, and opportunities for improved performance.
- Establish and monitor team performance metrics, service levels, and operational objectives.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members to build a high-performing procurement organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to resolve complex procurement and P2P issues.
- Support change management initiatives and ensure effective communication and adoption of process changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Operations, or a related field.

A related advanced degree or professional procurement certification is preferred.

Minimum Experience

- Six (6) years of progressive professional experience in Procurement, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchasing, Category Management, or related functions.
- Previous experience working within a Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, or multinational/global business environment is required.
- Proven experience managing procurement categories and P2P processes.
- Previous experience leading or managing a team of procurement professionals.
- Demonstrated experience with supplier/vendor management and procurement operations.




- Experience monitoring procurement performance, spend, service levels, and operational metrics.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements within procurement or P2P operations.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong understanding of procurement policies, procedures, controls, and P2P processes.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2) is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal interactions with global stakeholders.

- Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and global teams.
- Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and procurement operations.
- Strong understanding of category management and supplier/vendor relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret procurement and operational data.
- Strong process and project management capabilities.
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency and service quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong business acumen and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop professionals while fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and standardization across procurement processes.
- Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI is preferred.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with integral stakeholders and senior leadership in English.
