Software Engineer L2 –

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our technology team and contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable and sustainable software solutions.

The Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build high-quality applications, resolve technical challenges, and deliver reliable solutions that support business and customer needs. The role requires strong software development expertise, particularly in Java, AWS, and React, along with a solid understanding of modern cloud-native technologies and software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams on software design, development, and implementation.
- Participate in design discussions and contribute to software architecture and technical decisions.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and services.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues and collaborate with relevant teams to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Create, evaluate, and contribute to detailed technical and feature designs.
- Develop and implement software solutions within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Apply secure coding practices and follow software security and system design fundamentals.
- Work with cloud-based technologies to develop scalable and reliable applications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.




- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to development processes, tools, and engineering practices.

Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with AWS/cloud-based services.
- Experience with React and modern front-end development concepts.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Apache Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful services and APIs.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies and related tools.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and modern source-control practices.
- Experience with Python or other programming languages.
- Knowledge of cloud-native application development and distributed systems.
- Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
