Role Purpose
You will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring the successful execution of ground transportation operations related to import and export shipments, while ensuring transit times, service levels, and operational efficiency are met.
You will play a key role in communication with customers, suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers, contributing to the success of logistics operations end to end.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor domestic and international ground shipments.
- Manage FTL (Full Truck Load) and LTL/LCL operations, ensuring compliance with established transit times.
- Oversee the operational follow-up of import and export shipments.
- Coordinate the release and dispatch of cargo arriving through strategic ports.
- Monitor deliveries and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
- Resolve issues related to transportation, documentation, and deliveries.
- Negotiate rates, service conditions, and operational solutions with carriers and logistics providers.
- Analyze performance indicators and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with operational and service KPIs.
- Maintain administrative controls, records, and up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- 1 - 2 years of experience in logistics, ground transportation, or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of FTL and LTL/LCL shipment coordination.
- Experience in import and export operations.
- Knowledge of logistics operations at ports such as:
- Manzanillo
- Lázaro Cárdenas
- Altamira
- Veracruz
- Ensenada
- Experience coordinating with carriers, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience with logistics tracking and control tools.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
