Role Description The Masonry and Concrete Estimator is a full-time role responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for masonry and concrete projects in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area. This hybrid position combines on-site presence with the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks. Day-to-day activities include reviewing architectural and structural drawings, performing quantity take-offs, analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs, and preparing detailed bids and proposals.

The estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to clarify project scope, address technical questions, and support negotiations with clients and vendors. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing trends,



and contributing to value-engineering efforts to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in masonry and concrete estimating, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
- Proficiency in construction-related software such as estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, specialized take-off software), and standard office applications.
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and industry standards related to masonry and concrete.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills to interpret project data and develop accurate estimates.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience in masonry, concrete, or general construction estimating; field experience in construction is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid arrangement, combining on-site visits with remote work, and commitment to Winegardner’s values of Integrity, Team, Grit, and Quality.
