Provides training and monitors planning activities and metrics.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reportingSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the functionResponsible for planning, reviewing,
and developing production procedures and personnelMay coordinate activities with materials function using enterprise resource planning systemsMaintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, on time delivery and FGI inventory metrics, support performance and process proceduresWORK ENVIRONMENTPrimarily works in an office environment which is normally fast pacedQUALIFICATIONSAbility to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writingCapability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demandAbility to manage and lead a staff of professional Production PlannersAbility to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishmentGood understanding of SAP and the ability to apply to manufacturing processesStrong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systemsExcellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, MS Standard OfficeStrong organizational skillsAbility to work with several projects simultaneouslyAbility to motivate others in a team environmentEXPERIENCEExperience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in production planning requiredPrevious experience managing people desiredEDUCATIONBS in Business Administration, Production Operations Management, or closely related field or a combination of relevant experience and/or education, that is equivalent to a four year degreeAPICS CPIM Certification strongly desired#J-*****-Ljbffr
