Meztal is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team in a mid-level capacity. This position is responsible for supporting and executing full-cycle accounting activities while maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, approximately four or more years of relevant professional accounting experience after graduation, hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, and the ability to work effectively with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders in an English-speaking business environment.Responsibilities- Manage and execute full-cycle accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.- Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and complete necessary adjustments.- Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, accounting records, and financial documentation.- Assist with the preparation and review of financial reports and related accounting information.- Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.- Collaborate effectively with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders regarding accounting activities, requests, and deliverables.- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records while following established accounting procedures and internal controls.- Support additional accounting and financial reporting activities as required by the position.RequirementsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting (Contaduría Pública) is required.- Professional degree certificate (Título Competente)
