QUALITY MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager to lead the plant quality function for the manufacture of electric motors and fan systems, ensuring that products and manufacturing processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company standards. This role will drive quality systems, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts to improve compliance, reduce defects, and support operational excellence.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.

Experience And Qualifications

- 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a quality role.
- Direct experience managing ISO 9001 systems and supporting external certification audits required.
- Experience leading customer audits and responding to audit findings required.
- Experience in electromechanical, motor, fan, HVAC, or similar industrial manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, internal auditing, document control, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, and process audits.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and test documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for audit response and customer interaction.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and quality reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and maintain the plant QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Serve as the primary site owner for all audits (external, internal, and certification) while ensuring ongoing audit readiness.
- Manage document control, change management, and CAPA, ensuring proper records, calibration,



and timely closure of findings.
- Oversee quality inspection activities (incoming, in-process, and final) for electric motors, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor key quality KPIs (scrap, rework, complaints) and lead structured root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and similar tools.
- Manage nonconforming products (containment and disposition) and oversee supplier quality performance and corrective actions.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes using quality planning tools like PFMEA, control plans, and MSA.
- Train plant personnel on QMS and audit expectations, and present quality trends and improvement plans to leadership.

Audit and Compliance Focus

- Maintain site readiness for recurring ISO and customer audits with minimal disruption to operations.
- Act as plant subject matter expert for audit protocol, objective evidence, record retention, traceability, and procedural compliance.
- Coordinate internal audit schedules and ensure findings are documented, prioritized, and closed effectively.
- Interface directly with customers on quality issues, corrective actions, and audit responses.
- Ensure traceability and control systems support customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Drive a culture of discipline in documentation, process adherence, and inspection record accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills/Experience

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Plex).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.
- Experience with quality systems and core tools (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Prior experience in the automotive or electronics industries.
