At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, we are looking for an Account Manager to join our Customer Growth team in Mexico. This role will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and developing new business opportunities across our full portfolio of logistics and supply chain solutions.

- Account Management and Business Generation
- Strategic planning: The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for supporting KAM on strategic account plan development and delivering on customer objectives within an allocated scope.
- Market and industry intelligence: Contributes to collection of market, industry and competitive analysis (within the scope for the designated accounts) and leverage these insights to develop opportunities.
- Sustainability Leadership: Partner with the customer to align their outbound supply chain with sustainability targets, driving the adoption of Wallenius Wilhelmsen's green services (e.g., BAF 2.0).
- Targets, Commercial Development and Revenue Growth
- Financial and other targets: The role is responsible for supporting KAM to ensure WW reach all targets set for the allocated scope, including but not limited to revenue, book of business development, profitability, cash flow, customer satisfaction, improvement of Terms &
- Conditions, etc.
- Business Growth: Responsible for pipeline development through opportunity and business generation, drives upselling and cross-selling initiatives across all business units.
- Develops deep understanding of customer business processes and supply chains to identify growth opportunities across all three Business Units (BUs).
- Tender &
- Negotiation Excellence: Participate or leads opportunity teams (when delegated by KAM) for bids and RFQs, orchestrating internal stakeholders to deliver competitive value propositions and leading negotiations.
- Customer Success &
- Performance –
- Collaboration with Customer Success Organization
- Collaborates with customer success team to support their lead and management of:
- Business performance and customer satisfaction through structured KPI reporting, CSAT, and high-level business review tools.
- Performance analysis of accounts globally and follow-up on agreed performance targets. Identifies key areas of improvement and opportunities.
- Accurate forecasting.
- Relationship Management
- Drive development of overall relationship with the assigned account, establish and facilitate multi-stakeholder relationship management at relevant levels of the customer organization.
- Ensure stakeholder management at appropriate levels within WalWil.
- Develop deep levels of trust within customer organizations at operational, tactical, and strategic levels and position WalWil as a preferred logistics provider.
- Governance &
- Compliance
- Governance framework: Aligns with KAM governance framework for the account and develops governance for own area of responsibility.
- Risk and compliance: Ensures all account activities strictly adhere to competition law, sanction requirements, GDPR, and anti-corruption policies.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in B2B sales or supply chain management (exceptions may be considered for candidates with an accelerated career trajectory).Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional and multicultural teams in global environments.
- Ability to coordinate teams and develop integrated customer solutions.
- Strong experience in B2B negotiations, tender management, and complex contract negotiations.
- Strategic mindset focused on identifying growth opportunities and driving commercial value.
- Solid understanding of supply chains, risk analysis, and market trends.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage KPIs and support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of building trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach to working across customer-facing and operational teams to create value-added solutions.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, solve complex problems, and adapt to change.
- Willingness to travel as required by the role.
