About the role

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. We're hiring a Fraud Operations Associate to join our Operations team at Stripe's Delivery Center in Mexico City, helping protect Stripe users from fraudulent activity.

What you'll do
- Investigate merchant accounts for fraud, card testing, account takeover, and other fraud patterns.
- Investigate merchant accounts to satisfy financial-partner requirements.
- Evaluate risk indicators and trends associated with potentially fraudulent activity.
- Help maintain fraud-detection strategies and business rules, balancing fraud losses with a great customer experience.
- Perform root-cause analysis to identify ways to predict, prevent, and reduce risk.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual Fraud Operations business reviews.

Minimum qualifications
- Some experience in fraud analysis, fraud investigations, or fraud operations.




- Experience using data to make assessments and judgment calls.
- A team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to approach issues from a user's perspective while staying pragmatic and solutions-oriented.
- Availability to work 100% on-site at our Mexico City office.
- Willingness to periodically work a weekend remotely, compensated with weekdays off.

Preferred qualifications
- Fraud experience in payments, e-commerce, or fintech, particularly digital or card-not-present fraud.
- Knowledge of fraud schemes, prevention methods, and detection tools.
- Fraud experience across multiple industries or verticals.
- Experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Experience working from an operational case queue.
