General Controller | Manufacturing | IMMEX

A leading manufacturing company is looking for a General Controller to lead the financial, accounting, tax, and cost-control activities for its operations in Tamaulipas.

Location: González, Tamaulipas

Work Model: On-site

Salary: $60,000 MXN gross monthly (adaptable depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Relocation to Tamaulipas is required.

As an additional benefit, the company offers optional on-site accommodation from Monday to Friday for employees who prefer to stay near the plant during the week rather than commute daily from another city.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead accounting and financial operations for the manufacturing plants.
- Manage and analyze manufacturing costs and production costs .
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Analyze actual vs. budget/forecast results and identify variances.
- Oversee inventory controls, warehouse audits, and internal controls.
- Ensure tax compliance, including VAT and SAT requirements .
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Oversee accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Manage IMMEX and foreign trade-related operations .
- Lead, develop,



and manage the finance/accounting team.
- Prepare financial information and reports for both Mexico and U.S. leadership .

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting / Accounting .
- Proven experience as a Controller, General Controller, or Finance Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting / Cost Controlling .
- Experience with IMMEX and foreign trade operations .
- Strong knowledge of Mexican tax matters, VAT, SAT, and audits .
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- Conversational English is required , with the ability to actively participate in meetings and maintain professional conversations with U.S. leadership.
- Availability to relocate to Tamaulipas and work on-site.
