- provide strategic legal counsel on labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating business risks.
- monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on legal and policy implications.
- design and deliver labor law and compliance training programs.
- manage interactions with labor and social security authorities, including audits, claims, and regulatory proceedings.
- develop labor relations strategies, oversee litigation matters, and coordinate external legal counsel.
- draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements and employee-related documentation.
- support union relations, collective bargaining negotiations, and collective agreement administration.
- draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including services, logistics, construction, procurement, and repse-related agreements.
- advise stakeholders on contract risk management, compliance requirements, and business transactions.
- lead internal training initiatives on contractual processes and labor compliance.
- support internal investigations and collaborate with compliance teams as needed.
- maintain oversight of labor cases and provide updates to management.
requirements
- bachelor's degree in law.
- 7+ years of experience in labor & employment law within multinational or corporate environments.
- advanced english proficiency.
- strong experience managing union relationships and collective bargaining negotiations.
- solid knowledge of mexican labor and social security regulations.
- experience negotiating commercial and operational agreements, including indirect procurement, logistics, repse, and construction contracts.
- strong ability to balance business objectives with legal risk management.
- high ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to compliance.
