Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/supporting robust and consistent environmental stewardship program strategies in support of GM’s mission to deliver sustainable solutions that improve the communities in which we live and work.
- Experienced in at least one of the main environmental programs (air permits and regulation, water permits and regulations, or waste regulations)
- Engages with Domain Experts as necessary to ensure continual improvement and support new program/project implementation.
- Key collaboration with plant management and employees, FAMs, regulatory agencies, internal and external community leaders and members, legal staff, GM and external audit services, utility service provides (WWTP & PH), Project Planning teams at sites & HQ, domain experts and chemical and resource management business partners.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering related field or relevant experience.




- One year of experience in a similar position Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and other ISO standards, such as ISO 14000 or ISO 9000.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environmental audits or ISO 14000-related certifications.
- Experience supporting Environmental Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI or process automation.
