Vinyard Farms is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Welder to lead fabrication, repair, and maintenance operations on our farm in Altus, OK. This is a hands-on position requiring strong welding and mechanical skills, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Farm Welder plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of farm equipment and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the repair and maintenance of farm equipment
- Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs on machinery
- Operate and maintain tractors, trucks, and other farm equipment
- Diagnose mechanical failures and rebuild or repair damaged components
- Identify, source, and order correct replacement parts
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with farm staff and supervisors
- Ensure proper upkeep of farm facilities and infrastructure
- Enforce and promote safety protocols across all operations
- Assist with general farm duties as needed
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Extensive knowledge of agricultural equipment and mechanical systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both English and Spanish:
- Willingness to work adaptable hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
