The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, reduce waste, improve quality, and increase productivity. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and sustain process improvements that support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with process mapping and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar analytical tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability studies.
- Experience in change management and project management methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
- Develop and implement process improvements that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, and root cause analyses.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance.
