The Role
As a Mainframe Storage Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for managing enterprise storage environments to ensure data integrity, optimal performance, and service continuity. In this role, you will support critical business operations by efficiently managing storage resources, ensuring reliable backup and recovery processes, and maintaining high availability across complex mainframe platforms.
You are a detail-oriented technical professional who works closely with infrastructure, systems,
and operations teams to optimize storage utilization and reduce recovery times. Your expertise contributes directly to system stability, compliance, and operational excellence in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer mainframe storage environments to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance
- Optimize storage utilization and capacity planning to support business growth and operational efficiency
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to minimize recovery time objectives (RTO)
- Configure, monitor, and maintain DFSMS and other mainframe storage management tools
- Perform storage monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in production environments
- Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures related to storage management
