López & Co. CPAs is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Mexico City team and support accounting and audit engagements for U.S.-based clients.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Mexico. Candidates must be able to work in person at our Mexico City office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Compensation
Monthly salary budget: $35,000–$40,000 MXN,



depending on experience and qualifications.
- 18 days of Christmas bonus
- 12 vacation days, increasing to 15 days after two years of seniority
- Grocery vouchers of $3,112 MXN per month
- Annual performance bonus

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounting, financial reporting, and audit-related activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial information and identify discrepancies or unusual items.
- Support audit engagements through documentation, testing, and client follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and organized workpapers.
- Follow up on pending client information and help keep engagements on schedule.
- Communicate with internal team members and U.S.-based clients when required.
- Work with cloud-based accounting, audit, and project management platforms.
