Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Be a mentor for less experienced staff on how to set up and operate manually the CNC equipment to produce complex parts to specification.
2. Create the appropriate documentation, DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and procedures to engage the staff on quality.
3. Develop and implement processes and teach those processes to others.
4. Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
5. Understand. Create. Simplify.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Trade School degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of shop experience
Highly skilled in applicable software
Service attitude, soliciting internal and external customers for feedback
Strong math skills
Ability to accurately measure parts
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Advanced leadership skills and ability to mentor others
Ability to lead and organize group projects
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications Basic shop experience
Physical Requirements Lift and maneuver 40 pounds
Pull weight from high/low shelves
Reach
Bend
Grip
Twist
Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours
