TheQHSEAdvisorisresponsibleforensuringthatthecompany'sQuality,Health,Safety,andEnvironmental(QHSE)policiesandproceduresareeffectivelyimplementedandmaintainedwithinanofficeenvironment,supportingoffshoredrillingoperations.Theroleinvolvescompliancemonitoring,riskassessment,trainingcoordination,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativestoenhancesafetycultureandenvironmentalsustainability.TheQHSEAdvisorcanbeallocatedtooffshoresupportdutiesasdictatedbyoperationsandDirectorofQHSE.

JobSpecificResponsibilities
ImplementandmaintainQHSEpolicies,procedures,andmanagementsystemsincompliancewithcompanyandregulatorystandards.
DevelopanagendaforactionitemswiththeRigManagerpriortodepartureoffshoreandreviewresultswithRigManageraftervisit.
CoordinatewithQHSESupervisoranyQHSEmandatesforworkoffshoreonthespecificunitthatwillbeworkingwith.
Conductfacilitysurveys,ISMauditsandworkinprogresstoensurecontinuousimprovementinthehealthandsafetyprograms.
EffectivelyuseandsupportallSafetyManagementprogramsemployedbytheorganization.
Reviewrigspecificproceduresandidentifyopportunitiesforimprovement.
Audit,identifyandcommunicatebestpractices,lessonslearned,safetyandenvironmentalertwithoperationsandthecompanyfleet.
Ensureimplementationoffindingsandresultsarecommunicatedwithmanagementforappropriateaction.
Coach,observeandmentorthesafetyofficersonboardeachunitinthecompanyandriskassessmentprocesses.
Conductriskassessmentsandsupporthazardidentificationprocessesforoffshoredrillingoperations.
Monitorandreportoncompliancewithoccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations,ensuringbestpracticesarefollowed.
Investigateincidents,nearmisses,andnon-conformances,providingrootcauseanalysisandrecommendingcorrectiveactions.
Assistinemergencypreparednessplanning,drills,andresponsecoordination.
Conductinternalauditsandsupportexternalauditsbyregulatorybodies,clients,andcertificationagencies.




Ensureproperdocumentationofsafetyprocedures,workpermits,andincidentreports.
OrganizeQHSEtrainingprograms,toolboxtalks,andawarenesscampaigns.

EnvironmentalResponsibilities:
Monitorandassesstheenvironmentalimpactofoffshoredrillingactivities,ensuringcompliancewithenvironmentallawsandstandards.
Developandimplementenvironmentalmanagementplans,spillresponsestrategies,andwastemanagementprograms.
Conductenvironmentalriskassessments,includingemissions,discharges,andhazardousmaterialsmanagement.
EnsurecompliancewiththeInternationalConventionforthePreventionofPollutionfromShips(MARPOL),OsloandParisConventionsfortheProtectionofMarineEnvironment(OSPAR),andotherenvironmentalregulationsapplicabletooffshoreoperations.
Collectandanalyzeenvironmentalperformancedata,preparingreportsforregulatoryagenciesandinternalstakeholders.
Providetechnicalguidanceonpollutionprevention,sustainabilityinitiatives,andresourceconservation.
Supportoffshoreteamsinmanagingenvironmentalincidents,includingspillresponsecoordinationandreporting.

Qualifications
Preferablyabachelor'sdegree:EnvironmentalEngineeringorQHSEDegree,oranyequivalentfield.

Yearsofexperience:5years’experienceinQHSEoroperations(Offshoresupervisorylevelexperiencerequired).

CertificatesinISM/ISPSandISOenvironmentaltrainingpreferred.

Mustpossessexpertiseandknowledgeofhowtocoachpeopleintheproperplanningofworkwiththeidentificationofrisksandunsafehazards.

Skills/abilities
ProficientinverbalandwrittenEnglishlanguageskillsandabletoeffectivelycommunicatewithallcrewmembers.

Self-starterwithprovenproblem-solvingability.

Teamorientedandcapableofinfluencingthebehaviorofothers.
