Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced
PLC Programmer
to support a major conveyor retooling and controls upgrade project. The engineer will be responsible for upgrading conveyor lines, reconfiguring and integrating
SEW drives
, and ensuring proper communication and synchronization between the drives and the line motors/engines.

The adecuado candidate will have strong hands-on experience with
SEW drive systems
, PLC programming, industrial automation, conveyor applications, and
VASS standards
. VASS certification is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Program, configure, troubleshoot, and commission PLC-controlled conveyor systems.
- Perform
SEW drive retooling and upgrades
for existing conveyor lines.
- Configure and integrate
SEW drives with motors/engines
throughout the production line.
- Establish proper communication between PLCs, SEW drives, motors, sensors, and other automation equipment.
- Modify existing PLC programs to support conveyor upgrades and new drive configurations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, drive, motor, I/O,



and communication-related issues during commissioning.
- Perform startup, testing, debugging, and validation of upgraded conveyor systems.
- Support electrical and controls troubleshooting during production-line integration.
- Review and modify PLC logic, I/O mapping, interlocks, sequencing, and motion-related functionality.
- Ensure the controls solution follows applicable
VASS standards and customer automation requirements

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on
PLC programming and troubleshooting
experience.
- Good knowledge and practical experience working with SEW drives is essential.
- Experience configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting
SEW drive systems
.
- Experience with
conveyor systems and industrial automation
.
- Experience integrating drives with motors/engines and PLC-controlled production equipment.
- Strong understanding of PLC logic, I/O, interlocks, sequencing, and industrial communications.
