South Texas Builders is seeking an experienced, organized Senior Construction Coordinator / Purchaser to coordinate residential construction schedules, manage material purchases, and keep projects moving on time and within budget.

This role requires strong follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while communicating with construction directors, subcontractors, vendors, and our internal team.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate construction schedules, subcontractors, and material deliveries across multiple projects.
- Review blueprints, approved client selections, and project specifications before placing orders.
- Request quotes, compare pricing, and negotiate with suppliers.
- Purchase materials, fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, hardware, and other construction items.
- Verify quantities, dimensions, finishes, pricing, and lead times before ordering.
- Track orders, backorders, deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Monitor purchasing budgets and flag overages for approval before ordering.
- Maintain accurate purchase orders, receipts, invoices,



and project records.
- Update scheduling software with order status, delivery dates, and construction needs.
- Resolve material shortages, incorrect orders, and scheduling conflicts promptly.
- Follow up on outstanding tasks and keep the construction team informed.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential construction coordination and purchasing.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction phases and material requirements.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and construction scheduling software.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate project needs, and take ownership of follow-up.
- English and Spanish proficiency preferred.
