Compliance & Regulatory
Oversee and manage KYC and due diligence processes - verifying the identities and backgrounds of customers and business partners in line with company policies and applicable regulatory requirementsMonitor and track changes in relevant laws and regulations, keeping management informed of developments that may impact business operationsAdvise management on corporate governance and compliance matters, ensuring the company's practices remain aligned with current legal and regulatory frameworksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance procedures are correctly implemented and consistently observed across all departments
Legal Advisory & Documentation
Provide practical legal guidance and support to the management team on day-to-day business activities and strategic decisionsDraft, review, and negotiate a broad range of legal documents including contracts, agreements, letters of intent,
and other commercial documentation - ensuring the company's interests are adequately protected at all timesIdentify potential legal risks in business activities and propose appropriate mitigating measures
General
Work independently to manage and deliver tasks within set timeframes and to a high standardSupport ad hoc legal and compliance matters as required by the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles
- Solid knowledge of corporate, commercial, and contract law - with a good understanding of Malaysian regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in reviewing, negotiating, and preparing commercial contracts and legal agreements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - able to provide well-reasoned, practical legal advice under pressure
- Proficient in English - both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and a
